S T O R Y
The days seem to blend together as you slowly forget the world outside your apartment. Visions of people you've known begin to plague you through increasingly worse hallucinations. Explore and live through each day in your apartment and face your past as you gradually lose your grasp on reality to reclaim your memories.
P R O L O G U E
This is a 10-15 minute prologue demo showcasing a part of the game, the full title will be released on Steam! Featuring 3-4 hours of Gameplay, Steam Achievements & much more.
Dead Faces is a mind bending psychological horror about hallucinations and facing your past. Unravel Jack's disturbing mind, the faces from his past and the ultimate truth behind his actions. You must remember their faces.

- Live through multiple days in your apartment as it changes each day and visit other locations from your past through different chapters
- Play through 4 select-able chapters for each individual from your past leading you to various locations, uncover your own truth and remember their faces.
- A randomized dynamic hallucination system
- Atmospheric realistic setting using photo realism and photo scanned materials.
- Random generated audio pooling system, event system and dynamic events.
- A twisted macabre story surrounding the main character Jack and his past that unfolds through multiple chapters involving different characters he has forgotten after being isolated for years in his apartment.
- Themes of Depression, Suicide, Isolation - Contains gore, graphic violence
- 3-4 Hours gameplay through 4 chapters

The game only supports mouse & keyboard.
You can adjust quality settings inside the game through ESC > Options. You can view / edit controls inside the game through ESC > Controls.

Good game, just there were some bugs
Great demo, but there were a few bugs (I got temporarily stuck behind some bronze people, some events triggered in strange places and I could not see one of the jump scares - I only got the sound - I think it was behind a closed door). Nothing game-breaking though. 9/10 so much potential.
Thanks for playing.Thats not a bug, those people appear in the bathroom during the scare and disappear you just got crowded by them and they have collision. Some scares are indirect or subtle hence why you may not seen it, furthermore the game uses a randomized audio pooling system all the time so what you heard may not actually be a jumpscare. Glad you enjoyed the demo and see the games potential!

My pc heated too much more than RE4 remake, brother make nanites or LODs in all your assets and never use cast or get actor of class after even tick.
But it was an amazing experience, very spooky game good continuation.
Do you meet the system requirements? What resolution were you playing in? Thanks but the game is not built in Unreal Engine. I do use LODs where i can. Thank you glad you enjoyed it.

Great game! It felt like you took inspiration from P.T and Visage. The atmosphere and the jumpscares worked well while still pushing the gameplay forward.
I will say that some areas were a bit too dark to see and made it rather difficult to find the items. Maybe a flashlight (or a candle) would work to help light up the surrounding area to be able to see better while still having a dark and creepy environment.
All-in-all, I really enjoyed the game and I'm looking forward to the full release!

Not gonna lie, there's room for I improvement there. The graphics are dazzling, and character designs look hella creepy. But the way things showed up and disappear simply did not do it for me.
I found myself lost for a long while looking for small clues, meanwhile nothing else happened because the game depends too much on story triggers; Some places, like the first corridor are so dark I can't tell if there is a door in there or not; And the amount of details and pickable objects ends up hurting the performance more than improving the experience; also, don't know if fisheye is the best default camera option, but that's just personal opinion.
As i said, there is room for improvement, but the core gameplay is solid and the environment is very claustrophobic and well made. Keep it up, i have high hopes for the final game!
