Start of video. Game spooked me a good number of times, just experienced the sad but progressive game breaking bug. I'll stick around to see future updates.
Thanks for playing! Yeah i might do a little update soon. Honestly a strange bug, It's only that one spot that very rarely can throw you out of the map, but i just fixed the issue, and will be doing a update soon also altering some gameplay stuff. *EDIT* Update is out now, hope you will try the game again!
Thanks for playing glad you enjoyed the game. I might do a patch when i have some time to fix some bugs soon! In the meanwhile be on the look out for my other games in development and have fun!
Thanks for playing, even though you didn't really get far, you should have read the hint in the beginning about checking the porch, the key to the dinner room is located behind the house there, also you should check behind the cracked wood in the bathroom for a key to the fishing room where you need gas to remove the arms / eyes at the stairs. Anyway the game has a lot of story and secrets and is actually based upon a real legend, sorry if you didn't enjoy it! Might not be everyone's cup of tea.
Loved playing this horror game. the atmosphere, storytelling, the mystery behind what occurred in the house. I never once got bored playing this even when I struggled to find the key in the bathroom. Overall you made a wonderful game! can't wait to try out other games made by you.
Thanks for the nice words, and i enjoyed your play through! Besides stuff changing in some rooms the longer you stay in them, there is actually 3 more secrets in the game, one you almost found, in the bathroom if you shine your flashlight at the mirror you will see Julia and her unborn child. Also if you look closely and look up and zoom out the window in the bathroom you will see the real body of Julia hanging from a tree as detailed in the final journal. Finally the last secret is if you stay long enough in the game, a mannequin will become alive and follow and track your every movement. The game wasn't perfect, but i am glad you enjoyed it so much! For my next game everything will be better, and you will also have a horrifying AI to deal with. It is called AKAI NOROI, you can learn more about my next game here: https://www.indiedb.com/games/akai-noroi
Thank you for playing, I very much enjoyed your play through! If you haven't already you can learn more about my next game AKAI NOROI here: https://www.indiedb.com/games/akai-noroi. Also check out my main title "Deep Rest" https://store.steampowered.com/app/880700/Deep_Rest/. Coming later this year to Steam and you can already add to wish-list, also dropping a revamped free demo with a part of Chapter 1 soon here on Itch when "Deep Rest" page goes live. Thank you once again!
Thanks for playing. The key to progress upstairs is located inside the fishing room, and found in the crack in the wood inside the bathroom. Seems you had some glitch in the end, might look into this. Thanks.
Thank you for playing! In order to go upstairs you need the gas can from the fishing room, to remove the arms / eyes blocking the entrance. The key to the fishing room, detailed about in Charles journal, is located in the bathroom, look through the cracked wood in the bathroom and you will find it. Hope this helps!
This was a cool little horror/mystery game! Loved the story and exploring what happened in the house. Took me a while to find some keys, very cheeky places they were hid lol. Overall, this was a great game!
Thank you very much for playing, i had a lot of fun watching your playthrough! I soon have yet another case for you, but this time you will have to deal with a horrifying AI as well, the game is called AKAI NOROI. Coming to itch in around 1 month. https://www.indiedb.com/games/akai-noroi
This was a very great experience for me. I love horror games! This one was one of those games that gets you really good with those jump scares! Sound effects were loud! Everything over all was awesome! Thanks for creating such great game!! Check out my walkthrough!
Thank you i am glad you enjoyed the game and i enjoyed your playthrough! Be sure to check out my next title AKAI NOROI coming soon to Itch in 1-2 months, you can learn more about the game here: https://www.indiedb.com/games/akai-noroi, Itch page will also come and go live some days before release. Cheers.
Thank you for playing and thank you for your feedback! Some effects / light could have used some tweaking yeah. The fishing room key is behind the cracked wood in the bathroom by the way.
Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed Perdita and had a smooth run! I am working hard on my next game so i hope you will check it out too! It's coming to Itch as well, but for now is only on IndieDB. Cheers!
Glad you thought Perdita has potential and that you enjoyed the game! I unfortunately wasn't able to understand your feedback in the end since i do not understand your language. But thank you so much for playing, I intend to improve on all aspects in my next title AKAI NOROI which is also coming to Itch in around 1-2 months! and i have been taking in all the feedback on Perdita so i really want to impress even more with my next game and grow as a developer! Thank you!
I said " this game has a great potential mainly because of the heavy atmosphere and the jumpscare but I think if we were able to kill monsters in the game, the "horror side" would be affect in a bad way ! " i m impatient to play AKAI NOROI !
Oh i see, thank you very much! I will make sure to bring a even more creepy and atmospheric atmosphere in my next game AKAI NOROI! I agree, in my next game however there will be a horrifying AI to deal with among other things! I'm glad you can't wait to play it! If you haven't already you can follow the game and see more about it here: https://www.indiedb.com/games/akai-noroi The Itch page is also coming but will first go live a few days before release in approx. 1 month!. I also created a Patreon recently if you are interested in supporting me and get more exclusive stuff! https://www.patreon.com/AzaGameStudio Thank you for playing!
I really enjoyed this game! But i think it didn't run so smoothly, had somekind of lag. But that was only small thing, the story and small things like those spells were nice and fun! Few good jumpscares as well. Well done developer!
Thank you for playing my game! If you experience lagg try to reduce the graphical quality by pressing ESC > Options, should help. Thank you for your playthrough, i enjoyed watching it! Glad you enjoyed the story! There are two secrets in the game relating to the story that not many have found out, both are in the bathroom. First one is, if you shine your flashlight at the black mirror, you will see Julia and her unborn child staring back at you inside the mirror. Next secret is if you look closely outside the bathroom window you will see the real body of Julia hanging from a tree as described in her final journal she wrote after taking her life. Thank you so much for playing! If you enjoyed Perdita you should check out my next game AKAI NOROI coming soon! https://www.indiedb.com/games/akai-noroi
I'm glad you enjoyed! Oh shit, shame that I missed those secrets! Need to play it again, I wanna see those :D Thanks for letting me know what they were. Oh my! That looks lit, is it going to be here itch.io as well? I'm looking forward to it! Looks so good.
Yeah it is kinda hard to know if you don't know it, cool :) Yeah AKAI NOROI will be on Itch as well but will be paid and low price =) Thank you for playing once again!
Hey thank you for making me aware of this! I seem to have pinned down this issue to a script that controls the spiders roaming around in the house, very rarely you can collide with a spider stuck in a collision and it can somehow drag the player outside the map. Thanks for your comment regardless!
Hey, itch.io admin here. I just noticed you're hosting your game through an external link. I removed the upload limit from your account so you can upload directly to itch.io. We'd like to share your game on the homepage, but it can't be hosted on a third party site. Thanks!
Hey, thank you I originally wanted to upload the game here as well but been pretty busy since launch, forgot to send you guys a e-mail about expanding the file size limit since Perdita is 1.71GB zipped, so thank you very much for this and for featuring my game! I will upload it ASAP. *Edit* I have now uploaded the game to Itch again, and hidden the old external download. Cheers!
I really loved the atmosphere, sense of scaring and creeped me off xD but just few part were abit poor animated scaring scene(i wont spoil which part) and the one key were abit too harsh to detect.. (found with luck actually) but over all, i enjoyed alot! great work! i wanted to play game like this :)
Thank you so much for playing my game! I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Yes the bathroom key described in the journal page in the garage can be a bit too hard to find! Glad you managed to complete the game. My next game is actually based upon japanese / asian folklore and will be called AKAI NOROI. I have been studying all playthroughs and taking it all with me on my next game and i appreciate your feedback!
I'm sorry if you did not find the story interesting or enjoyed the horror elements. The game should not crash, if you experience continuous crashes try to reduce the graphic quality to the lowest. Have never spawned out of the map either or seen anyone do, so that is also strange. Thanks for reporting this to me though. Hope you will enjoy my next horror title AKAI NOROI, perhaps it is more to your liking. Cheers.
Beyond my personal gripes of why I should axe every doll I see, this is a very well made game in terms of atmosphere and spooks. (seriously. Screw the dolls.) I wish batteries would refill at least half the flashlight meter instead of just one pip of the meter.
Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game, I noticed the game was particularly dark in your video, perhaps you can alter this by reduce your gamma on your monitor if you haven't tried already. Anyway in order to progress above the stairs, you need to find a key in the bathroom in the wooden board crack. This is also "hinted" about in the note in the garage. But i agree there is not much hand holding or hints in my game, i will take your feedback on wards with me on my next title. Thank you for your feedback.
Thank you for playing and for your feedback. The "gameplay" is to figure out the story through the environment & journals, this is not a traditional "hide and seek" kinda horror game, my focus was on the story. In my next game AKAI NOROI, I will have more focus on cool mechanics and puzzles, I hope you will check it out once it releases. Cheers!
Very well done! I really enjoyed it and think you did a fantastic job, the sound direction was good, the spooks were there for sure, and the story was decent! My one issue was finding the keys especially the "Fishing Room" Key was very difficult and took a lot of time. I did find everything eventually thogh and beat the game!
Thank you for playing! Thank you for taking the time to get into the story and search the environment. The fishing room key might be a little too hard to find yes, I am aware of this after studying multiple playthroughs. Glad you enjoyed the game and hope you will play my next game called AKAI NOROI! Cheers.
Thank you for playing! I enjoyed your playthrough and appreciate your feedback. The game is on Itch, however due to the games file size and Itch's file size limitation, I have it setup to link to IndieDB download page for now. Thanks for checking out the game!
Thank you for playing Perdita. I hope you get to complete it, if you are having trouble finding the fishing room key take a look through the cracked wood in the bathroom and you will find it there. I appreciate your feedback!
Hey! You did a pretty great job with the sound design and the overall feel and clutter of the house! However, the gameplay falters a little bit because of that, keyhunting in suck a cluttered space just ends up feeling like a scavenger hunt and I think the game could do a lot better than that, you've obviously got some talent!
Hey. Thank you for playing the game! I intend to have less key hunting and more puzzles in my next game which you can learn more about on my Twitter. You figure out the story interacting with objects / reading journal pages. Most of the objects have some meaning relating to the story. I also created a lot of the paintings in the game myself and transfered the textures. Currently most of the keys in Perdita for doors / drawers are not too hard to find. You also need to collect the gas can to remove the arms from the stairs, and later you need the axe for something. The one key though that could be tricky for some, might be the one actually in the bathroom, it is located behind the cracked wood in the bathroom if you look through the crack you will find it! I hope you will try the game again and complete it. Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it.
I've been recording for over an hour and I got stuck on what to do after you unlock the red drawer... help!
Charles note says that he dropped a key in the bathroom but I searched that shit for about 15 minute but nothing is sus except for the god damn arrow on the wall that means nothing. Also, the closet is empty... nothing but a guitar. Is the objective of the game is to inspect objects?
The key to the fishing room, detailed about in Charles journal, is located in the bathroom, look through the cracked wood in the bathroom and you will find it. Hope this helps!

There seems to be a glitch that teleports the player out side the map if you hit a edge in the room to the right at the beginning.
Hey thank you for making me aware of this! I seem to have pinned down this issue to a script that controls the spiders roaming around in the house, very rarely you can collide with a spider stuck in a collision and it can somehow drag the player outside the map. Thanks for your comment regardless!

Really liked the attention to detail and the huge amount of assets. Lots of keys to find though, wish I found the axe from the beginning. :)

Great game. The graphics are really nice and it's super creepy. I like that things change when you go back to old rooms.
Thank you for playing Perdita. I hope you get to complete it, if you are having trouble finding the fishing room key take a look through the cracked wood in the bathroom and you will find it there. I appreciate your feedback!

Thank you for playing Perdita. I enjoyed your playthrough and hope you will checkout my next game AKAI NOROI! Coming in 1-2 months.
Of course i'm so excited for it .
